1,135,789. That’s how many subscribers sixteen-year-old West Ryder has on his web vlog series. But he only has eyes for one of them.

As one of the internet’s most prestigious video bloggers, West talks about high school relationships under the name “Sam Green.” As far as he knows, no one from school, not even his best friend, Cat, has seen his videos. But the highlight of the whole thing is Harper Knight, who comments every day at exactly 2:02 in the afternoon. He doesn’t know anything about her aside from the occasional deep philosophical messaging on why pizza tastes so delicious, but as stupid as it sounds, he might be falling for her. So when they finally agree to meet in real life, West’s hope for romance seems more and more in reach. But that all changes as soon as he arrives at their meeting spot and sees Cat walking toward him, wearing the same “I <3 Sam Green” T-shirt Harper promised she’d have on.

To his alarm, West realizes he is falling in love with the best friend who has always been a sister to him.

Eurovision 2013…

Nu stiu cati dintre voi stiu ca Eurovision-ul e concursul meu preferat. Mi se pare geniala idee, iubesc atmosfera si concursul in sine. Am ‘cunoscut’ cantareti minunati prin prisma acestui concurs. In seara asta la Malmo are loc finala editie anului 2013.

Superba!

Pe locul doi e Grecia, cu Koza Mostra si ‘Alcohol is Free’. O melodie care se potriveste Greciei, energica si amuzanta.

Norvegia are o melodie geniala!! Margaret Berger si a ei melodie ‘I feed you my love’ m-a dat gata!

Abia astept!

Voi v-ati uitat la Eurovision? Ce melodii v-au placut cel mai mult?

Guest post:

How do I keep my writing different?

I write two series with two very different sets of characters, so making sure that I keep my writing different is one of the things that I struggle with frequently.  Not only do I have the two series, but each series has an extensive group of secondary characters, all with different personalities and body language quirks.  I would say that writing for so many “people” keeps me on my toes and helps me keep my writing different.

In The Vampire Destiny Series, the entire concept is one of fated love and destiny.  The two main characters, Stefan and Josephine are fated to be together, so their love and attraction is immediate and strong.  Once might compare it to two long-lost loves that meet after a long separation.  They know they’re supposed to be together and they simply pick up where they left off.  They have hurdles and conflicts to overcome, but they are soul mates.

In The Dark Hart Chronicles, the concept is much different.  We have a flawed, damaged vampire in Nick that had a difficult human life…and a nightmarish beginning as a vampire.  He wants to love Savannah, but he doesn’t know if he deserves her love.  And Savannah…she is afraid of relationships.  She’s been burned before and doesn’t want to get hurt again.  It’s a connection of two lost souls that find each other and learn to love each other-flaws and all.

Writing the two very different series was a challenge.  I didn’t want Nick to be Stefan 2.0.  They each had to have very different ways of handling things and two very different personalities.  While Stefan can be arrogantly cocky, Nick is charming and a tad insecure.  He tends to get tongue-tied around Savannah when they meet and I found it funny for him to stick his foot in his mouth a few times.

The easiest way for me to keep my writing different is excessive character note taking.  It’s much easier to keep a notebook with my characters information handy.  It’s saved me in many situations!

Synopsis:
In Allison Rushby’s Heiresses, three triplets–estranged since birth–are thrust together in glittering 1926 London to fight for their inheritance, only to learn they can’t trust anyone–least of all each other.

When three teenage girls, Thalia, Erato and Clio, are summoned to the excitement of fast-paced London–a frivolous, heady city full of bright young things–by Hestia, an aunt they never knew they had, they are shocked to learn they are triplets and the rightful heiresses to their deceased mother’s fortune. All they need to do is find a way to claim the fortune from their greedy half-brother, Charles. But with the odds stacked against them, coming together as sisters may be harder than they think.

About the author:
Allison
Having failed at becoming a ballerina with pierced ears (her childhood dream), Allison Rushby instead began a writing career as a journalism student at The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. Within a few months she had slunk sideways into studying Russian. By the end of her degree she had learned two very important things: that she wasn’t going to be a journalist; and that there are hundreds of types of vodka and they’re all pretty good. After several years spent whining about how hard it would be to write a novel, she finally tried writing one and found it was quite an enjoyable experience. Since then, she has had nine novels published. She keeps up her education by sampling new kinds of vodka on a regular basis.

Excerpt:

You can always pick people’s happiest memories by the photos they stick up as backgrounds on their desktops. One of my happiest memories from the year my family and I spent living in Cambridgeshire happened quite by accident, but now takes pride of place when I start up my laptop each morning.

Knowing we would only be living in England for a year, we were active weekend and holiday travelers. On this occasion, we had just spent the weekend in Oxford and were on our way back home to our converted flour mill beside a lock in the little village of Buckden (yes, the word ‘idyllic’ springs to mind…).

I was, and still am, a huge Downton Abbey fan and remembered reading that the village scenes were shot in a real village in Oxfordshire.  Thus, before we set off home, we planned a quick detour to the village of Bampton.

Before long, we reached the outskirts of the village, which was when we began to see little neon production signs – all sorts of arrows and codes directing the production team to different surrounding fields and areas. It was a cold Sunday in February and already quiet on the roads, but it became quieter still as we navigated our way into the village itself, because it started to snow in a very nasty, rainy, sleety kind of way (sorry, Australians aren’t great at describing these things. Let’s put it this way: you were far better off being at the pub). By the time we got to the heart of the village, it was truly miserable weather.

Even before we parked the car, my mouth was on the floor. There was the church, complete with huge cameras wrapped up in red plastic and security guards sitting in their cars out front. There was Downton Cottage Hospital, complete with its sign. There was the pub. And the post office. The highlight, however, had to be the white bunting, strung up all over the village. Someone was getting married, I realised!

As my husband and two children looked on, somewhat amused, I spent the next hour running around like an absolute mad thing in the sleet, insisting they take my photo in front of this and in front of that. They put up with me for some time. Until the point where I insisted on having my photo taken on the stairs of the portable female loos, because Dame Maggie had probably been there.

Yes, we all froze half to death, but it was worth it (or at least I thought it was…) for those desktop photos that will last forever!

Welcome to the South – where the
tea is sweet and the accents are sweeter. This Southern way of life is all
Charlie has ever known. It’s not until she loses the only person who pushed her
to break free of the Southern Belle mold that she starts living the life she
needs and not the life her parents forced on her.

Jhett has lived on the edge for as
long as he could remember – constantly teetering back and forth between being a
rock star and living a normal life. His rebellious and sometimes arrogant
attitude is known to get him into trouble, especially with the girls who hang
on his every move.
Charlie never thought that a trip
to pack up her brother’s apartment would leave her feeling even more unsettled
about the grainy details of her brother’s death. Her quest for information
leads her straight to his old hangout and into arms of Jhett, who suspiciously
knows more about her situation than he ever should.
Only a few questions remain – Can
you trust someone based on their word alone? And if you make a promise, how far
will you go to keep it?

She is an eternal optimist and can often be found dancing and singing to music at any given time. It’s rare to see her not smiling or laughing, but if you do, just bring her a cupcake and it will cheer her up.

Promise Me This is her first novel and is a story that weaseled its way into her heart and wouldn’t leave her alone until she typed it up on the computer. She already is hard at work on ideas for her next book and hopes that the

characters never stop coming to her. Her huge imagination was always in overdrive as a child and now she is beyond excited to put it to good use as an adult. She plans to write as long as she has stories that need to be told.

Renegade blurb:

The conclusion to the Heven and Hell series.

I’ve been beautiful. I’ve been ugly. I’ve died. I’ve been brought back. I’ve had abilities awakened within me. My strength has been tested. My beliefs have been tested.

Yet I stand.

What’s next when you’ve pretty much experienced it all?

The end.

Sam and I are picking up the pieces. We’re trying to come to terms with all we’ve lost. And as much as I would like to hide my head, ignore the reality I live every day, there is no forgetting.

Riley is in hell—I’m still not sure of his agenda. My mother’s past haunts me. And Kimber… Kimber is being herself. Cole sneaks glances at Gemma and she returns them when she thinks I don’t see.

But I do.

When Beelzebub escapes he brings his war to places I never thought he would. Earth. Maine. Home. Now everyone and everything is at risk. This has become bigger than my circle of friends. This has become bigger than me. I have to finish this. I have to find a way to stop him, to finish this war.

I just pray we will all be left standing in the end.

Interview:

1.Hi,Cambria! It’s a pleasure to have you on my blog. Would you like to tell us something about you, please?

Sure! Thanks for having me here! I was raised by wolves on a mountain in West Virginia – its why I write fantasy… Okay, not really. In fact you won’t catch me in the woods – especially in West Virginia… well that’s not true either. I grew up in MD near WV and I did attend a few partes in the mountains, but I never ventured into the woods alone… I kind of wish I would have. Who knows what kind of werewolf hotness I would have been devoured by – I mean met.

More about me: I don’t like scary movies (they are scary), my favorite show is Vampire Diaries. I like to shop. I like to eat cereal. I would rather have coffee than food most days. I love animals (especially dogs) and I am married to a Marine.

2.Would you tell something to us about your book?

Renegade is the final book (book 4) in the Heven and Hell series. It’s kind of the final battle between Heven and her greatest enemy (Beelzebub in Hell). I wanted it to be a throwback to the first book in the series but only amped up a bit.

3.How did the story come in to your mind?

Well the first book that started it all is Masquerade – and I first got the idea when I decided I wanted to write a book about a girl who was disfigured. Who thought she was ugly, who didn’t like to look in the mirror and who had something major happen to her that she couldn’t even remember. Then I started to think about how she got disfigured and the story grew from there!

4.When was the very first time when you wrote?

When I was a teenager… maybe 14? I wrote a book about a teenage girl and a music box. I wanted to be just like R.L. Stine. Lol.

5.Who or what inspires you?

Everything! Music, people, movies, TV, people watching. Sometimes just a single word inspires me.

6.Which is your favourite book series or book?

Oh that’s tough. There are just so many great books out there. I really enjoyed the Need series by Carrie Jones. I also loved the Intertwined series by Gena Showalter. I just read Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and that book totally blew me away. I loved the Hunger Games as well.

7.Why?

Because all those books had elements and characters that made them great! Unforgettable storylines, being drawn to the characters and their situations. Hot guys. Lol.

8.Which is your favorite movie?

Gheesh, you ask the hard stuff! Lately my favorites have been Pitch Perfect, the new Spider Man. An all time favorite is How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. I am dying for Warm Bodies to come out on video so I can watch that. I can’t wait!

9.What advice would you give to someone who wants to publish a book?

Don’t give up. Learn as much as you can about the business. Keep writing. Keep writing. Be realistic and get a support system. And an editor. You need an editor.

10. What kind of music do you like?

All kind except heavy medal (it gives me a headache). Right now my favorites are Maroon 5, Carrie Underwood, The Band Perry, and Ollie Murs.

11.Did you ever want to be a mystical creature?

Hmmmm. Maybe? I honestly don’t remember. I think I more fantasized about being the Beauty in Beauty in the beast. Meaning I got to fall in love with the mystical creature…

12. How and when did you decide that you’d like to publish your book?

Well I wrote several books and then I started thinking that maybe they were good enough to publish. I submitted to publishers and agents and got turned down so many times I lost count at 100. But I kept trying. Finally I got picked up by a small publisher who closed down months later and I decided to go Indie. It’s been a good fit for me.

Do you have a message for my blog’s followers?

Keep Reading! And thank you for supporting authors everywhere (not just me) and for supporting this awesome blog!

I personally love the interview! And Ollie Murs! LOL
